Why a website now?

This is the website I didn’t think I’d make, but when I mention Drags Aloud, or Showbags, people remind me of just how much fun it was, how much we achieved and how crazy luck and fortune can be. So here we are.

I had a joyous journey, or a hard march over rough ground, depending on whether I think of the bad or the good of the experience. And honestly, the bad was nothing when I look back on it. And this website is that look back.

Here I’ve put together the story of my life in drag. I’ve included my views on the history of drag in Melbourne as this side of the industry is so often lost as the new crop of queens arrives. This is my critique and others may remember it differently, so join the comments with any additions you may  think I’ve missed.

At the same time as I was having my drag career, I was also transitioning in my gender role from male to female, which is where I currently am. A full time drag queen who dresses down in the daytime!
